Nothing outside myself is the fix to my obedience, or to yours. The answer was always and will always remain the same, the power of Christ within us. This is not about changing our surroundings to make life easier, it has always been about a heart being transformed more into the likeness of Jesus which includes how we obey.

Our bodies are temporal, vulnerable to the world’s problems and can be overcome with darkness but through His resurrection, we see that these are still just opportunities for God to raise up something greater into the light.

He also taught me that all leaders and people in power follow someone’s example. Whether it be what they have learned and seen in others and fashioned for themselves or what the world/our degrees/our jobs say are great leaders. We all follow someone’s example.

God is not about just us doing all the work and chasing Him down. No, this is actually our response to His initial search and chasing of us. We search Him, because He first searches for us…

When we think with temporal means, we put God in a box. We constrict him to our temporal parameters and how we view things like life, our dreams and goals, friends, decision-making, careers. Even who and how we choose to love others. Once I started to embrace this eternal vision, I was able to see God’s power more clearly and unrestricted.
