Have you ever been leery of the dark clouds of life? The overcast of some events, people, or situations that seem to suck the joy and fun out of the good things happening in your life. These events we either fight hard to avoid despite their inevitably, or we dread and just try to survive through, moment by moment, day by day…What if I told you that the dark cloud isn’t anything to fear but rather an opportunity for the most transformative light?

As we see through our Savior Jesus, with every act of obedience, every act of cross-bearing, every death to our flesh, there is a resurrection in the form of a suddenly.

He chose to not preserve himself but taking up the cross and being killed, so that you will be spared. I want to encourage you this week to seek Jesus and thank him for preserving you, saving you day after day but more importantly, eternal salvation.

Repentance isn’t just for acts that dishonor God and His Word, but also for those deeply rooted sins that manifests in selfish intent, unholy thoughts, and impure motives that have been sown and unchecked in our hearts.
